If the deal goes through, Diaby will receive a contract until 2031 worth €6 million per year, plus bonuses, the German tabloid reports. Because Diaby earns more than €10 million net per season in Saudi Arabia, one key remaining issue is agreeing on a compensation package for the winger. Leverkusen are also closing in on an agreement with Diaby's current club, Al Ittihad, with the transfer fee expected to be below €30 million. Diaby already played for Leverkusen between 2019 and 2023 and was a key player for the Bundesliga club during that period.
