Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has issued a fitness update on his squad ahead of Saturday's Premier League meeting with Coventry City.
City have won their opening two games of the Premier League campaign against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace, coming from behind in the former and beating the latter convincingly in London last week.
The Blues have undergone a significant squad rebuild this summer, once that culminated in the late arrivals of Ayyoub Bouaddi, Allan Elias, Iliman Ndiaye and Enzo Fernandez.
Leaving it till deadline day to wrap up the acquisitions of Ndiaye and Fernandez, City sporting director Hugo Viana and co have received plaudits for their finish to the transfer window after initial doubts over the club's sell-first, buy-later approach earlier in the window.
Maresca gave Bouaddi his Manchester City debut at Selhurst Park last week, with Allan, Fernandez and Ndiaye expected to make their debuts in sky blue against Coventry City on Saturday afternoon.
Maresca updates on Fernandez, Doku and Nunes
Jeremy Doku has missed Manchester City's opening two games of the Premier League campaign after suffering a calf injury in a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the Community Shield ib mid-August.
Speaking in a press conference on Friday afternoon, Maresca confirmed that the Belgium international will remain unavailable for selection against Coventry City.
However, Matheus Nunes has been deemed fit and available to face Frank Lampard's side, who have bolstered their ranks with the loan signing of City academy defender Stephen Mfuni.
Furthermore, Maresca confirmed that Fernandez is also ready to be thrown into the deep end just days after completing a British record equalling £125 million move from Stamford Bridge to the Etihad Stadium.
How will Man City line up against Coventry City?
After impressing off the bench against Crystal Palace last week, Bouaddi could be set to make a full Manchester City debut against Lampard's side.
Rayan Cherki scored a brilliant brace on his first Premier League start of the season in London and is expected to start, with the France international able to operate on the right wing should Maresca want to throw Fernandez straight into the starting XI.
Ndiaye is expected to be named on the bench against Lampard's side owing to the impressive form shown by Antoine Semenyo, who grabbed a fabulous assist for Erling Haaland to open the scoring against Crystal Palace last time out.
Where Nico O'Reilly starts is an own deliberation in itself as the 21-year-old England international has already shown he can operate in a multitude of positions, with City now well-stocked with an array of options in every position after an impressive finish to the transfer window.
