The Mavericks have reached a multiyear deal with Dallas-based KRLD-FM to become the team’s “flagship station for the first time.” The deal also “expands the team’s programing and potential radio audience to more than nine million listeners across North Texas alone.” There will be “distribution to other markets through the Texas State Network” -- and Audacy’s new deal with SiriusXM means the radio broadcasts “can be heard nationwide.” Play-by-play voice Chuck Cooperstein is “returning for his 22nd season,” and he “will for the third straight year work alongside analyst Brian Dameris for all 82 regular season games.” The Mavericks’ five-year contract with KEGL-FM expired after last season (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 9/3).
