London Rivals no longer in talks with Tottenham over winger's move latest news

WHU currently out of the race to sign Tottenham winger. Talks between West Ham and Tottenham over Manor Solomon have hit a temporary snag, with David Ornstein via X reporting the negotiations are currently off over financial terms. It is not the end of the story, though. Going by Ornstein’s words, this comes across as more of a pause while the discussions over numbers continue, and given how clearly both parties want this to happen, it would be a surprise if it stayed stalled for long. Next steps…. Solomon has barely featured for Tottenham since arriving on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023, managing only five Premier League appearances across three seasons while going out on loan to Leeds, Villarreal and Fiorentina in search of regular football. His agent, Shlomi Ben Ezra, has been unusually candid about the situation, telling Sport5 that Solomon is not expected to be a starter at Tottenham “at least not in the near future” [h/t The Standard] and that he would be doing the same thing in the player’s position, looking for a club where he would actually play. West Ham’s interest emerged at the back end of July as they searched for a replacement for Crysencio Summerville, whose big-money exit to Al Hilal left a gap on the left flank that Nuno Espirito Santo has been keen to fill with someone who already knows English football. Tottenham have valued Solomon at around £20m. Opening bids could land anywhere between £10m and £20m, and Hull City have also entered the race, adding a small amount of pressure that could work in Spurs’ favour if talks with West Ham genuinely stay stuck. West Ham have around £150m banked from outgoing sales this summer, including Summerville’s departure, so there is no obvious reason for money alone to sink a deal of this size once both sides find middle ground.
