How was it for you? We spent the summer with a permanent grin, repeating the word ‘champions’ over and over again. And why not, after 22 long, long years. As editor of our humble labour of love, I took a decision to devote the vast majority of this edition to celebrating the fact our club finally lifted the title once again. And what celebrations they were during the Merry Month of May. Not a single Gooner worth their salt anywhere on the planet will ever forget where they were on the evening of May 19, nor the following weekend which culminated in the joyous trophy lift. Or for that matter the Sunday afterwards, when an incredible 1.5m fans lined the streets of Islington to give our heroes the reception they deserved. Seeing the eruption of deep joy in N5 while scrolling on my phone certainly cheered me up at Krakow airport on my way back from Budapest, after a seven-hour overnight FlixBus from the Hungarian capital. So, I make no apologies in asking our loyal readers and subscribers to please enjoy our special issue which commemorates Arsenal lifting the league title for the 14th time in our long and illustrious history.
