Wakefield Trinity could welcome back all of Isaiah Vagana, Tom Johnstone and recent recruit Emre Guler for Saturday’s top four clash against Warrington Wolves in a major injury boost. Both Vagana and Johnstone were named in the 21-man squad last week but did not feature whilst Guler dropped out of the squad on account of a groin injury, before being named again for this week’s game. Facing off against Warrington in what will be their final home game of the regular season, Trinity know that a win will secure a home play-off but that will be no mean feat against an in-form Wire side, hence the returning trio will be a major boost. “There’s a good chance they’ll all play,” Daryl Powell confirmed at his Friday morning press conference. “We’ve trained today, everything looks alright with those guys so we’ve got a couple of additions from last week.” For Powell, the biggest boost was that Vagana, who suffered a shoulder injury in the loss to St Helens, was not out for the season – something that was initially feared. He said: “Isaiah’s been one of our better players. His family’s just got over now, which is great for him. “They’re all good additions into the team and they’ll help to make us stronger.” Wakefield will need to be stronger than their latest showing against York Knights, a game they won to snap a three-game losing streak, though Powell conceded that he doesn’t think performances have been too bad across those last four games. “I think we’ve been playing at a high level for most of the last four games. I think particularly the Leeds game for large parts and the Wigan game. St Helens not so much, but we did some good things last week. “I think we just want to be a little bit more consistent in games.
