Sheffield United‘s Nils Zätterström is on his way to join Raków Częstochowa outside the transfer window.
That’s according to Weszlo in Poland, who covers the fresh development around the 21-year-old.
Sheffield United man emergency solution
The Ekstraklasa side have endured a difficult start to the season, losing all five league matches. They have conceded 13 goals and have the joint worst defensive record.
Their poor start have seen them sit bottom of the table. In order to overcome the difficult situation, the Polish club are focusing on improving their defence quickly.
This is where the Sheffield United centre-back comes into the picture as an emergency solution.
The transfer window in the UK has already closed. Nils Zätterström can move to Poland because their window remains open until September 9th. Raków Częstochowa want to complete his signing immediately fix their defensive woes.
Another loan for Sheffield United player
The Sweden international enjoyed a good run at Malmö FF and that convinced the Blades to sign him in August 2025. Rubén Sellés was in charge and was shown the exit door a month later.
Chris Wilder returned to the club and left Nils Zätterström out of his plans. This saw him join Genoa on loan in January and play 181 minutes from three Serie A matches. Back in March, he talked about his desire to join the Italian club on a permanent transfer.
That didn’t happen and the youngster returned to Bramall Lane, where he wasn’t part of Wilder’s plans this season.
He has been searching for a way out of Sheffield United and is now on the verge of joining Raków Częstochowa on loan.
The Championship side would have reached an agreement and given the green light for the move because the player has already arrived in Poland to complete his loan move.
Weszlo states Raków Częstochowa will make his transfer official soon, which shows Zätterström has carried out or close to completing formalities, including medical tests.
