Indeed, the report continues, stating that the Diavolo, understandably, do not want to make a capital loss. So, they are seeking €22-€25 million. Considering what was paid for him 18 months ago, it’s not an unreasonable request. However, the Portuguese club want a deal with an option to buy, as opposed to paying anything up front. A loan is not off the table, so the issue doesn’t lie there. Instead, they want a guarantee of payment, so if it were changed to a loan with an obligation, things could advance quickly. Again, a completely reasonable request. We’ll see if Porto feel the same way.
