Man City Women sign England goalkeeper Anna Moorhouse on a short-term loan from NWSL side Orlando Pride. Moorhouse set a new NWSL clean sheet record with 13 shutouts in a season, helping Orlando Pride capture both the NWSL Shield and Championship in 2024. She was part of the Lionesses’ Euro 2025 squad and has kept clean sheets in each of her international caps. Before joining Orlando Pride, Moorhouse had spells with Bordeaux, Everton, Durham, Doncaster Rovers Belles, Arsenal and West Ham United. Speaking about her loan move, Moorhouse told mancity.com: “It’s a new challenge, and a different style of play. I’m happy to be here and to get started. “From top to bottom last season was incredible for City and I’m happy to be here with the champions of England. When a club like Manchester City calls, you have to answer.” Director of Football, Therese Sjögran added: “Anna is a goalkeeper with outstanding experience and a proven record of performing at the highest level. “She has won major honours in the WSL, with Orlando Pride and England, and her consistency, character and quality will be a valuable addition to our squad.” Keep up with women's football transfer news The Women's Transfer News Roundup from Her Goal Magazine delivers to you breaking transfer stories from across the women's game in one easy-to-read newsletter, sent regularly during the summer transfer window.
