Former WWE star Luke Menzies, better known as Ridge Holland, has revealed the scale of the pay cut the company offered him before his release. Holland’s WWE contract was originally set to expire on November 14, 2025, and the company had informed him that his contract would not be renewed. However, Holland’s critical comments on social media about his treatment led to his termination on November 5, 2025. He took to social media to claim that he was the first one to experience the “TKO version of contract negotiations.” He then revealed that the company asked him to accept a total pay cut of 56%. Needless to say, a pay cut of that size is highly detrimental for a wrestler. It significantly reduces their long-term negotiation leverage and disrupts contract security. Most importantly, it signals that the company doesn’t see value in you as a wrestler. While reacting to AEW’s New Level revealing that they were offered over a 50% pay cut, Menzies stated, “Honestly, I think I may have been the first to experience the new TKO version of “contract Negotiations” 56% pay cut…. OUCH!” Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed have been making waves after revealing their WWE deals reached an impasse, leading to their AEW debut.
