This team is forging ahead without longtime coach John Harbaugh, so expect to see quite a difference on the field and in the front office. But one NFL analyst has a good prediction for this team. The Ravens could have a surprise rookie star In a feature out on Tuesday, Moe Moton of Bleacher Report names some of the "biggest surprises that could shake up" this season. "Why not go bold with predictions less than a week before the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers kick off the 2026 campaign?" he says. One of those predictions is that Ravens rookie wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane will make a "quick rise to become OROY," or Offensive Rookie of the Year. If that happens, that's great news for Jackson. He could use an explosive wideout as one of his targets. "Lane generated buzz during organized team activities through training camp, and it translated in his preseason debut against the Philadelphia Eagles," he says in the piece. "In that outing, he caught three passes for 38 yards and a touchdown. Although it's a small in-game sample size, it's all the rookie needed to secure a top roster spot on the depth chart." Moton adds that "At 6'4", 205 pounds, Lane could be a primary red-zone target in addition to his big-play ability outside the 20-yard line." A healthy Jackson paired with a budding rookie could be the combo this team needs to get back to the playoffs.
