A joint motion by Sanchez’s lawyers and prosecutors asking a judge to cancel the Sept. 8 trial date and set the case up for a guilty plea and sentencing hearing was filed on Wednesday. An early October 2025 fight between the former Fox Sports analyst and truck driver Perry Tole took place outside an Indianapolis hotel. It is alleged that the former football pro was the one who instigated the melee during which he was stabbed. In addition to being hospitalized, the victim said he had been left “permanently disfigured” as a result of the attack. In regards to which charges Sanchez will plead guilty, it is unclear. A number of charges were filed against him, including battery causing serious bodily injury, battery causing bodily injury, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, and public intoxication.Sanchez’s guilty plea still needs to be accepted by a judge.
