“Search for the New Salvador Sánchez” to Showcase Mexico’s Future Boxing Stars

During the traditional Martes de Café press gathering, organizers officially announced the “Search for the New Salvador Sánchez” boxing card, an event designed to support emerging talent and help develop the next generation of Mexican fighters.
The initiative aims to serve as a developmental platform for young boxers, promoting fundamental values such as dedication, work ethic, and technical excellence—principles that defined the legendary career of former world champion Salvador Sánchez.
The event will take place on September 19 at Decisión Dividida Camp and Hockey Rinks in Lomas Verdes, State of Mexico.
The amateur portion of the program will begin at 3:00 p.m., while the professional card is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
Members of Salvador Sánchez’s family will be in attendance to honor his legacy, alongside former world champion Rafael “Bazooka” Limón, who will also take part in the celebration of Mexican boxing.
Among the featured fighters are Anahí Segovia and Luis “Clavillazo” Sánchez, a young boxer from Nuevo Jordán Gym whose inspiring story of perseverance has captured the attention of the boxing community. César “Canelito” Pérez will also face Jerry “Coloradito” Cortés in another scheduled bout.
