Son of ‘Real Housewives’ star Kim Zolciak, ex-Falcons player indicted for alleged sexual assault
15-year-old Kroy Biermann Jr. was indicted on seven felonies
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Kroy Biermann Jr., the son of Kim Zolciak, a former star of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and ex-Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann has been indicted on seven felony counts following his arrest last month on sexual assault charges in Alpharetta.
Biermann Jr., 15, was indicted by a Gwinnett County grand jury on Thursday on charges including aggravated child molestation; aggravated sexual battery; aggravated sodomy; three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16; and false imprisonment.
According to Fulton County court documents, Biermann Jr. was arrested on Aug. 17, 2026, and was subsequently arraigned before Magistrate Court Judge Cassandra Kirk. Attorney Jason Sheffield is representing Biermann Jr.
In a redacted incident report, an Alpharetta police officer said he was dispatched to North Fulton Hospital on April 24, 2026, “for a report of sexual assault.” The report said the incident allegedly happened on April 23, 2026, in a Lifetime Fitness changing room.
Biermann played eight seasons in the NFL as an outside linebacker and defensive end, spent almost entirely with the Falcons. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL draft out of the University of Montana.
Biermann played 114 games (37 starts) for the Falcons from 2008-2015. During the 2016 offseason, he signed with the Buffalo Bills but was released during final roster cuts before the regular season began, effectively ending his playing career.
Zolciak is a reality television personality and singer, best known as one of the original cast members of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” for the series’ first five seasons. She met Biermann on the set of the show in 2010.
After leaving the show, Zolciak starred in “Don’t Be Tardy” on Bravo, which documented her family life with Biermann and their six children. The show ran for eight seasons.
Zolciak competed during season 21 of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2015 but had to withdraw early due to illness.
The couple has since gone through a highly publicized divorce that has escalated into intense legal and custody battles.
