Yellow text was projected over a blue backdrop on the historic St Peter’s Church in Monkwearmouth, reading ‘glass making since the 7th century’. A post form the club social media channels later read: “St Peter’s Church - home to one of the first recorded uses of stained glass in England. It’s this historic stained glass that inspires our shirt, 14 centuries on.” Fans who attended the event were given a pin badge by club staff, with a further club to the design which will form the backdrop of the shirt.
