Sunderland issue new statement and advice to fans after major ticketing issues around new account system
Sunderland have issued a statement with large queues forming at the Stadium of Light ticket office
Sunderland AFC have issued a statement saying that issues that arose from the club's new account system have now been resolved.
Supporters were asked to sign up for a new club account last week as the Black Cats bid to streamline access across platforms. However, a large number of fans reported issues and there have been large queues outside the Stadium of Light ticket office so far this week as concerned supporters try to find a solution.
The club have now said that the issues have been solved, and that the ticketing team are working through the backlog of enquiries. They have said that no account history or Black Cats Points have been impacted by the issues.
"Technical account access issues which arose last week have now been resolved and the ticketing team are continuing to work through the backlog of enquiries," a statement said.
"In some instances, supporters have had issues logging into their account or have been matched to another Supporter ID with the same email address; however, supporters can be assured that no account history, Black Cat Points, or Europa ticket-purchasing ability has been affected.
