They are currently working to move Joao Palhinha on this summer. He is not a part of their plans after returning from a loan spell at Tottenham. The problem is finding a suitor, with their high demands already causing issues. Reports have consistently linked Aston Villa with a potential move for weeks. Indeed, Bayern have been left hoping that they do them a favour and push to sign the 31-year-old at some point. Face-To-Face Talks Their meeting in Hong Kong now provides ‘the perfect opportunity’ to discuss a potential transfer face to face. The two clubs have, thus far, been unable to agree on the terms of a potential deal. But face-to-face talks could help to eliminate that problem. It would also allow Aston Villa to do a bit of convincing with Palhinha. He needs to be convinced about a return to England. He recently stated that “the plan is to keep my position here.” That, though, could also just be him putting the pressure on Bayern.
