It just cannot assume it will see an identical opponent Wednesday night. Seattle’s defensive front overwhelmed the Patriots in February, repeatedly pressuring Maye and preventing New England from establishing any offensive rhythm. The Seahawks held the Patriots scoreless through three quarters and turned a close game into a 29-13 win with 17 fourth-quarter points. Those mistakes remain relevant. The emotions surrounding them do not have to control the rematch.
