Leeds United, Everton, Brighton & Hove Albion and several other clubs would have to end their interest Barcelona’s Roony Bardghji after he suffered an injury in training.
The winger moved to the Camp Nou from FC Copenhagen in July 2025 and struggled for regular minutes last season. Barcelona have decided to part ways with him this summer.
This has seen him attract interest from multiple clubs, including Leeds United, Everton and Brighton. Two months ago, we relayed news of the Whites as an option for the 20-year-old.
On July 13th, Sport Witness covered Leeds United, Brighton and three other Premier League sides battling for his signature. The La Liga winners want to sell him and secure a buyback option.
Four days later, Everton followed these clubs and made an approach. Barcelona’s plan was to sell him in July, but that didn’t happen. Later that month, Brighton showed willingness to submit a formal offer.
Potential blow for Leeds United, Everton, Brighton
Barcelona’s failure to offload the Sweden international could end up costing them. Sport reveal he suffered a setback in training on Monday.
The attacker couldn’t finish the session after picking up ‘what could be a serious knee injury’.
Barcelona’s medical team carried out initial diagnosis, and it indicates a serious issue. He could spend a long spell on the sidelines.
This in return would block his move to Leeds United, Everton, Brighton & Hove Albion or another club this summer.
