Nottingham Forest signing in London - Announcement delayed until Tuesday

The Daily Diomande rolls on, although Nottingham Forest are now surely approaching the final edition.
Monday’s update comes from A Bola, who report Ousmane Diomande is in London and undergoing his medical ahead of the move from Sporting.
The defender travelled to England on Sunday and everything is proceeding as planned. There is, however, going to be a little more waiting before Nottingham Forest unveil him.
A Bola say the official announcement is only expected on Tuesday because of logistical issues.
Monday in London
As we already covered, Ousmane Diomande was excused from Sporting’s recovery
session on Sunday morning and travelled to England later that day.
He’s now in the capital completing the necessary tests before putting pen to paper. There’s no suggestion the delay until Tuesday represents another problem with a transfer which has already provided enough twists.
Indeed, the explanation is simply logistics. That’s probably worth stressing after recent events. At various points, even small delays in this transfer have ended up preceding another round of drama.
This time, everything appears rather more straightforward.
Saga may finally be ending
Nottingham Forest will pay €40m (£34.7m) for the 22-year-old, according to Monday’s report. A Bola previously reported the package could include another €5m (£4.3m) in potential bonuses.
He leaves Sporting after 129 appearances across almost four years at the club. During that time, he established himself as one of the team’s key pillars under three different managers.
Diomande is set to sign a contract running until 2031 and become Oliver Glasner’s latest addition at the City Ground.
For now, there’s nothing dramatic to report – which, given how this transfer has gone, is probably good news for Nottingham Forest.
Diomande is in London, the process is moving along and Tuesday should bring the announcement.
