Nottingham Forest have just over three weeks to add to Oliver Glasner’s squad.
With an abundance of transfer rumours swirling, the Nottingham Post brings you a round-up of the top lines.
So far Forest have signed Xaver Schlager on a free transfer from RB Leipzig. Gustavo Sa has also joined but has been loaned to Olympiacos.
Ousmane Diomande will have his medical today, according transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The centre back is closing in on a move to Forest with what is reported as a €40million fee already agreed.
The Ivory Coast international is thought to have agreed a five-year contract, which is expected to be signed in the next few days.
Diomande was an unused substitute in Sporting’s 2-2 draw with Estrela Amadora at the weekend.
The defender moved to Portugal from Midtjylland in 2023 since when he has won two leagues titles and one Portuguese cup. He was also a member of the Ivory Coast squad which won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2023.

Crystal Palace are closing in on the signing of Anan Khalaili from Union Saint-Gilloise.
That’s according to The Athletic who claim the wing back/winger has completed his medical and will move to the Eagles for a fee of about £21million.
They claim the Israel international has agreed a five-year deal, with the option of another season that could run through to 2032.
Forest are believed to have been keen on the 21-year-old having had a £20m offer rejected by the Belgian outfit. Inter Milan, Bournemouth and Newcastle United have also been credited with an interest.
Forest currently have Dan Ndoye and Omari Hutchinson as options on the right wing, while Ola Aina and Nicolo Savona are able to play on the right side of defence.
Brennan Johnson is on the move for the second time in a matter of months.
The Forest academy product, who left the City Ground to sign for Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, moved to Palace in January.
But after a £35m club record fee, the 25-year-old is on his way to Everton, as part of a player swap that will see Dwight McNeil move in the opposite direction.
Johnson leaves Selhurst Park after just two assists and no goals in 26 appearances. Prior to that he scored 27 and assisted 18 during his time at Spurs. Johnson joined Forest at the age of eight and played 109 games.
