Disney has “reached a carriage renewal agreement” with Optimum, the cable operator formerly known as Altice USA. Any household that gets ESPN as a cable network will “now also get ESPN Unlimited access for no additional charge.” Optimum users will be able to download the ESPN app on their mobile devices and connected TVs and “watch all of ESPN’s live games and programming.” Both companies are “currently working together on integration plans.” An official announcement “may come as soon as today” (CNBC SPORT, 9/3).
