Luca Toni and Adrian Mutu were involved in the Fiorentina All Stars v Operazione Nostalgia Legends match. Here’s some of what the two strikers had to say on the occasion: Toni: “There was so much quality on the pitch today. It was really fun. When I saw the teams and that I’d be playing with Mutu, [Gabriel] Bati[stuta] and [Franck] Ribery I said, “If I don’t score this evening then it really is over for me!” It was a real laugh. “I got the chance to play alongside some really top players and it’s always lovely to see them again. We might’ve put on a few pounds and aged a bit but we still love playing football and spending time together.” Mutu: “Our job was to get Bati on the scoresheet, and I managed an assist today. It’s really emotional and it’s been a wonderful occasion.”
