Trabzonspor have West Ham United forward Pablo on their radar ahead of Turkey’s Friday transfer deadline, according to The Times. West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo has relied on the 22-year-old Hammers star so far this summer and could be against him leaving the London Stadium club. However, Trabzonspor want another attacker and their president Ertugrul Dogan has been holding talks in London for deals. Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison is the first-choice target of the Super Lig club, with Pablo their other option. He has made three appearances across all competitions this season and the opportunity to play in a top-flight club could appeal to him. The West Ham forward will also get improved wages at Trabzonspor and get to play alongside former Liverpool players Mohamed Salah and Fabinho. However, a deal will depend on whether Spurs agree to sell Richarlison to them. The North London club have rejected an informal bid of £20 million, valuing the Brazilian at £35m. It is unknown whether Trabzonspor are ready to go that high for the Tottenham forward, and Pablo is being eyed as a contingency plan. He joined the Hammers from Primeira Liga club Gil Vicente on a four-and-a-half-year deal in January for around £22m. Pablo became Nuno’s first signing, but he failed to score any goals in 17 appearances despite bagging ten goals in 14 games in the first half of the season. Trabzonspor think he can replicate that form in Turkey and talks could become concrete should a deal for his Spurs counterpart fall through.
