AEW’s New Level is still getting used to the freedom Tony Khan’s company offers. That said, Austin Creed and Kofi Kingston have confirmed they are allowed to take bookings outside AEW. The duo made their groundbreaking debut at All In in London after months of speculation following their WWE release. And unlike their WWE contract, Creed and Kingston are afforded greater flexibility in AEW. New Level Has Freedom To Wrestle Outside AEW While speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Creed confirmed that New Level are allowed to explore opportunities outside the bounds of AEW. The duo is excited to have the chance to run elbows with different tag teams from around the world. He stated, “We can jump around and do some other things. A lot of opportunities to go to other places and to wrestle people. The fact that tag team wrestling is all across the world is something that is really exciting to us.” Further in the interview, Kofi Kingston admitted that it will take some getting used to having this newfound freedom. He said, “Everything is on the table. I’m still getting used to being able to have so much freedom and do what we want to do. There are opportunities aplenty.” The fact that Tony Khan allows this comes as no surprise, as AEW is known for fewer restrictions. As a matter of fact, Tony Khan was ready to allow Adam Copeland to work a match with John Cena during the latter’s retirement tour in WWE. Anyway, New Level was revealed as Swerve Strickland’s wild-card partners in the Trios Roulette Royale. The crowd at Wembley went into a frenzy the moment Creed and Kingston came out to ‘New Level’ by A$AP Ferg. The trio then went on to win the match, emerging as the new AEW World Trios Champions. Later during the night, New Level confronted Adam Copeland & Christian, FTR, The Young Bucks, and MCMG, creating an All In moment. Elsewhere in the interview, New Level revealed WWE wanted them to take a massive pay cut before their eventual release. Creed and Kofi made their WWE exit in May after spending more than a decade as members of The New Day. For now, Creed and Kofi’s attention turns back to AEW.
