Report: Veteran pass rusher Kyle Van Noy joining Vikings There’s a Foxborough feel in the Twin Cities. Veteran pass rusher Kyle Van Noy is signing with the Minnesota Vikings, ESPN's Kevin Seifert reported Tuesday. The Ringer's Tom Pelissero first reported the news. The one-time Pro Bowler had a visit with the squad on Tuesday, per the league transaction wire. RELATED CONTENT Van Noy is reuniting with Brian Flores, the Vikings defensive coordinator who was a defensive assistant during Van Noy’s first three seasons with the New England Patriots from 2016-18. They were part of two Patriots Super Bowl-winning teams during their time together. Van Noy also spent the 2020 season with the Miami Dolphins, who were coached by Flores. In his career, Van Noy has played for the Detroit Lions, Patriots, Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens. All told, he's played 173 games over 12 years, logging 57 sacks. Van Noy, 35, is coming off a three-year stint with the Ravens. Last season, he tallied just two sacks in 15 games with Baltimore. A year earlier, though, he earned his only Pro Bowl selection with a career-high 12.5 sacks. The pass rusher, provided he’s got a semblance of his 2024 form left in the tanks, should be a fine and familiar fit for Flores’ aggressive defense.
