Fiorentina Women produced a strong performance to hold English champions Manchester City to a 1-1 draw onn Saturday. Maya Cherubini gave the Viola the lead just before half time with a superb shot into the top corner. After the break, our girls went close to doubling their lead through Tryggvadottir and Mailia but City eventually got reward for their late pressing when Hemp found a way past Fiskerstrand. Fiorentina now have one more pre-season friendly, against AC Milan, before making their competitive bow against Sassuolo in the Serie A Women's Cup.
