LA Knight has had a lot of issues with Roman Reigns over the past couple of weeks. Those issues started months ago, when he, Royce Keys, and Solo Sikoa confronted Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso. That led to a match on night one of SummerSlam, where they were victorious against the Bloodline. A lot has happened since then, including Keys getting attacked by Fatu and him returning with OTM on the August 24, 2026 episode of Monday Night Raw. The next week, Knight and Reigns had an altercation before Penta became the number one contender for Reigns’ WWR World Heavyweight Championship, with the match happening on September 14 in Mexico City. If Reigns wins, he’ll be free to have Knight challenge him. However, Money in the Bank is on October 10, with qualifying matches starting on the September 7 Raw. Should he participate in the qualifying matches so he could cash in on Reigns, or should he go after him and his title directly? LA Knight Should Aim for the Money in the Bank Briefcase If a wrestler wins the Money in the Bank briefcase, that means they get a championship match whenever they want. It could be at Survivor Series: WarGames, WrestleMania, or on an episode of Raw or Friday Night SmackDown. Sometimes cash-ins aren’t successful, but careers are changed forever if the wrestler wins the title. Having Reigns get cashed in by Knight will be shocking, as Reigns has been a dominant champion for the better part of the decade. Knight has been United States Champion twice on the main roster, but his last reign was over a year ago. If he were to become champion by cashing in the briefcase, it would be a triumphant achievement given what’s been happening between him and Reigns. With everything that’s been going on with the Bloodline, Keys, OTM, and Sikoa, he can sneak in and blindside Reigns at any moment. Stealing the World Heavyweight Championship from someone as talented as Reigns will give him a memorable moment that will be remembered for years. He Should Face Roman Reigns In A Straight Up Match A Money in the Bank victory and cash-in would be great for Knight. However, it seems like he wants to do things the hard way instead of the easy way. He’s been demanding a title match for weeks now, insulting Reigns and constantly reminding him that his family has been helping him win all of his title matches. Being in the match sounds appealing, but their feud has gone too far for him to chase after the briefcase simply. He got hit with the Superman Punch by Reigns after Sikoa was attacked, with him getting blamed for what happened Monday night. If Reigns finds out that he wants to be in a Money in the Bank qualifying match, he’ll definitely go to extreme lengths to keep that from happening. It seems like Reigns will seek him out if he beats Penta in Mexico City on September 14. Luckily, he feels the same way, which is why a one-on-one matchup seems likely between them. How Will They Settle Their Feud? The timing of Knight and Reigns’ feud is very interesting. If Reigns beats Penta, he’ll retain the World Heavyweight Championship. The next PLE after that is Money in the Bank, which comes with implications for the winners of the briefcases. With qualifying matches starting next week, Knight could be motivated to win the briefcase and cash in on Reigns. That will give him the surprise victory that will surely shock everyone. However, he’s been after him for years with no stopping for anything. After what happened on Monday, the feud between them just got taken to the next level. It wouldn’t be surprising if he directly challenges him for a match at Money in the Bank, skipping the qualifying matches altogether. Both of them have so much animosity towards each other that it seems like that is the only option. However, what he’ll do will only be decided after Reigns’ match against Penta. If Reigns wins, Knight will have to choose between the briefcase and the direct match. The Last Word on Knight and Reigns’ Feud Knight and Reigns’ issues with each other got worse after the latter found Sikoa laid out on the floor. An encounter will be happening between the two of them if Reigns retains against Penta. Money in the Bank is next month, which complicates their feud. It’s clear Reigns isn’t backing down from a fight, but getting the briefcase could make for an entertaining moment. If he is successful in a cash-in, he’ll be remembered as the man who cashed in on an extremely dominant champion. But if he wants to fight him, it’ll surely be an epic build and match at the PLE. No matter what he chooses, his fight with Reigns has only just begun.
