The Buffalo Bills are starving for a Super Bowl title. They have not even made it to the NFL title game in over 30 years, and they frustratingly keep falling to the same teams in the AFC Playoffs. Having quarterback Josh Allen in the midst of his prime has only increased the franchise’s urgency to win their first ever Super Bowl. Heading into 2026, there are many questions surrounding the Bills. The organization saw fit to part ways with long-time head coach Sean McDermott this offseason, but instead of replacing him with an experienced winner, they promoted offensive coordinator Joe Brady to the position. Fortunately, Buffalo has one of the best young defensive coordinators in Jim Leonhard, who will ensure that side of the ball is playing to the absolute highest level. Additionally, there is some wisdom in promoting Brady, as his offensive scheme is what has helped Allen have so much success in the NFL. Allen was ranked second in the entire league, only behind Los Angeles Rams pass rusher Myles Garrett, who set the single-season record for sacks last season. In their explanation of Allen’s ranking, the Worldwide Leader in Sports revealed that 2026 could see Allen tie a record held by Tom Brady, who many consider to be the best quarterback of all time: “Allen has finished top-five in MVP voting in each of the past four seasons, which is tied with Peyton Manning (2003 to 2006) for the second-longest streak over the past 40 years. Tom Brady leads in that category with five straight from 2013 to 2017.” Allen already has five top-five MVP finishes, but did not receive any votes in 2021, a year after he finished second. He came in third in 2022, fifth in 2023, won the NFL MVP in 2024, and third last year. Given how well Allen has played over the course of his entire career, in addition to the fact that he is still just 30 years old, there is reason to believe that his best football may be ahead of him. Bills fans hope that it will finally lead them to Super Bowl glory. That would mean more to them, by far, than another top-five MVP finish for Allen. He probably feels the same way.
