Vikings set to host free agent pass rusher The Minnesota Vikings continue to tinker with the roster ahead of the club’s Sept. 13 season-opener against Green Bay, and a free agent pass rusher could be the next addition. KSTP Sports confirmed that veteran edge Kyle Van Noy is scheduled to visit Minnesota as early as Tuesday afternoon. After starting his career with Detroit, Van Noy worked with Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores in New England, where Van Noy flourished. The two reunited later in Miami when Flores was the head coach there. Could another reunion be on the horizon? READ MORE: Vikings Coverage Van Noy spent the past three years with Baltimore, tallying 23.5 sacks in 45 games. However, his production dropped to just 20 tackles and 2 sacks last year. He or another veteran would provide much-need edge depth for Minnesota behind starters Andrew Van Ginkel and Dallas Turner. Currently, Chaz Chambliss and rookie Jake Golday are the only other outside linebackers on the roster.
