Dundee United is delighted to confirm the signing of Lyall Cameron from Rangers on a season-long loan deal. The midfielder joins the Terrors subject to SFA clearance. Cameron heads to Tannadice following a loan spell at Aberdeen during the second half of last season’s campaign. Breaking through at Dundee following two successful loan campaigns with Peterhead and Montrose, Cameron made his mark in the 2022/23 season as they won promotion back to the Premiership. A first season back in the topflight saw the midfielder notch five goals in 36 appearances, and Lyall’s best season to date came the following season as he registered 14 goals in all competitions, whilst also representing Scotland on the international stage, subsequently earning a move to Ibrox at the end of the 2024/25 season. Cameron scored for Rangers last summer in the UEFA Champions League Third Qualifying Round in a 2-1 defeat against Viktoria Plzen. Part of the Club’s Academy until 2017, Lyall now returns to the City of Discovery looking to stamp his authority once again. A KEY ADDITION IN MIDFIELD On securing his latest summer signing, Jim Goodwin said: “I’m delighted Lyall has decided to join us, and I look forward to getting to work with him. “He’s no stranger to this city and has tasted a lot of success here in his career to date, but he comes from a family of United fans and wants to make his mark in a Tangerine shirt. “We think he will really complement our midfield options and also add that know-how of the club and of the area that he can pass on during his time here.” A NEW CHAPTER BACK IN TANGERINE On joining the Tangerine’s, Lyall said: “I’m delighted to be here and am excited to get going. "It’s no secret my family are United fans so i'm looking forward to be playing at Tannadice in front of the home supporters soon. “I like to get forward and create chances and score goals and hopefully get the fans off their feet.” Lyall will wear number 16 during his time in Tangerine.
