AEW appears to have much bigger plans for MyAEW than simply using the platform as a home for additional wrestling content.
As we previously reported here on eWn, MyAEW has continued expanding its programming lineup, adding promotions and shows from the likes of RevPro, Pro Wrestling EVE, and other wrestling organizations. However, the service’s current presentation has left some fans wanting more, with one fan recently describing the website as “very lackluster.”
During the latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked whether AEW has plans to make significant improvements to MyAEW. It was noted that AEW has been planning to continually develop the platform, with the expectation that MyAEW will be “constantly” updated and evolve over time. He also indicated that AEW intends to devote considerable resources toward improving the service.
It was added that AEW recognized a significant opening in the market following the struggles surrounding TrillerTV, while also seeing MyAEW as an opportunity to create crossover between different wrestling promotions and audiences.
Ultimately, MyAEW is expected to become much more than an additional streaming outlet. The platform is reportedly viewed as a major component of AEW’s overall business strategy moving forward, suggesting fans could see substantial changes and expansion as the service continues to develop.
