Nuno Espirito Santo has made four changes form the team that drew 1-1 against Watford. Mavropanos replaces Golambeckis, Scarles replaces Veltman, Pablo replaces Kante, and Piroe replaces Taty Castellanos. Dinos coming in was expected but I personally would’ve taken out Kilman instead of Golambeckis, but you can see why he’s opted for the more experienced defender. Scarles coming in was always going to happen, Veltman played 90 minutes and didn’t exactly impress at Vicarage Road, so KWP moves back to right-back and Scarles comes back in at left-back. The decision to return to 4-4-2 was expected, but the decision to not start Engels alongside Orford, but to play him with Mukasa in the deeper midfield role is confusing, especially against probably the best team in the league on paper. Pablo returns from injury, so him and Piroe play together up front for the first time, it will be very interesting to see how they link up and how Nuno plays them. The starting XI: Hermansen; KWP, Mavropanos, Kilman, Scarles; Bowen, Mukasa, Engels, Solomon; Piroe, Pablo. I can’t say this is the team I was expecting to see this evening Nuno has suprised us majorly, but maybe that’s a good thing. However, looking at that team on paper, I can see Raul having a field day against Kilman, Wolves’ midfield three of Andre, Munetsi, and Fer Lopez having a field day against a pivot of Mukasa and Engels, and Pablo and Piroe failing to make much impact up front. If we’re going to win this match, we need Mukasa to show he can be a central midfielder, and we need both Solomon and Bowen to have great performances out wide. It might be another hard watch, but we can win this. Come on you Irons ⚒️
