He played a couple of games at the senior level as well. But there was not a clear role for him at St James’ Park. So, joining Wolves on a season-long loan seems like the right step forward for the young striker. Let’s see how he does at the Championship level. Wolves are one of the favourites to earn back promotion to the Premier League this season. Currently, they sit at second in the Championship table. As a result, if Neave does end up playing for them, there is a good chance that he will have opportunities to score goals. And if he can prove himself as a goalscorer in the Championship, more chances could be on the horizon at Newcastle United in the future. Admittedly, he has shown an impressive scoring touch in youth football. He has scored 21 times in 37 games at the U18 level for Newcastle United and 19 times in 35 games for the U21 side.
