Former WWE Women’s Champion Carmella has confirmed that she’s retired from in-ring competition.
Carmella recently spoke to author, comedian, and social media personality Laura Clery on the Hot Mom Sh*t podcast. During the conversation, Clery asked how the WWE star met her husband, Corey Graves. While responding, Carmella confirmed that she’s officially retired from in-ring competition.
“We worked together. So, we met through work and it was like very similar kind of situation like we worked together all the time and then we were home. I related a little bit to your book, and you’re saying like, ‘Our dates were all about half romance, half business planning,’ so we did that. Luckily, I don’t. I’m retired now, so it’s definitely a little bit different, but yeah, we met at work,” the former WWE star said.
When Clery said she loves that Carmella is retired, the former WWE Women’s Champion said, “I was a professional wrestler, so it’s like I can’t wrestle anymore. I’m a mom. I have kids. So, that’s kind of like I’m retired.”
Carmella was part of WWE from 2013 to 2025. She’s a former Women’s, Tag Team, and 24/7 Champion. She’s also a Money in the Bank winner.
Carmella last competed at a live event in March 2023. She stepped away from the ring to give birth to her first child, and later suffered from drop foot. She and Corey Graves welcomed their second child in October 2025. It was reported in February last year that her contract with WWE had expired and that she was no longer with the company.
