EC3 has revealed that he is currently hospitalized after suffering an infection in his leg. The former WWE star shared an update on Instagram, explaining that he went into the woods for a gathering and came away with an unwanted souvenir. EC3 revealed that his leg became infected and joked about his hospitalization while assuring fans that he is doing fine. “Leg got infected. Hospital acquired,” EC3 wrote. He then added a tongue-in-cheek explanation about initially trying to get admitted before doctors eventually agreed to keep him after several days. EC3 also asked fans not to direct questions about his condition toward people close to him. He revealed that doctors do not know when he will be able to return, and he does not know either. The wrestling star thanked fans for their well wishes and joked that they should send them through “vibes and not texts.” He also shared that he plans to spend his recovery time writing manifestos, reading books and watching Christopher Nolan movies. EC3’s health had already become a talking point after he was seen limping to the ring during an independent wrestling show. His unusual movement raised concerns about whether he was dealing with an injury or another health issue. EC3 Returned to TNA Wrestling Earlier This Year The latest hospitalization also comes amid EC3’s ongoing absence from TNA Wrestling. He made his return to the promotion at Rebellion earlier this year. He was last seen in action for the promotion on the May 7 episode of TNA iMPACT. EC3 faced Eric Young in a No Disqualifications match and suffered a defeat. He later addressed his absence when asked about his status with TNA. “Michael, I was piledriven through both a table and spiked on an open chair. That was after Eric Young stomped on my d**k 17 times. Those are wounds that require some time and solitude to regroup and strategize,” EC3 said. EC3 has now confirmed that he remains in recovery, but his latest update suggests there is currently no timetable for his return to wrestling.
