A WWE star has addressed speculation that she could retire from professional wrestling. Piper Niven was tagged in a post on X featuring the retirement rumor and was asked whether it was true. Niven responded directly, making it clear that she has not retired despite her lengthy absence from the ring. “Reports of my demise are greatly exaggerated. (face with tears of joy emoji) I am still in recovery but no I am not retired,” Niven wrote. Niven has been sidelined since the August 22, 2025, episode of WWE SmackDown in Dublin, Ireland. The injury came shortly after she scored what many considered the biggest victory of her WWE career by defeating Charlotte Flair. Unfortunately, Niven’s momentum was cut short by a serious neck injury that forced her out of action. She subsequently underwent neck fusion surgery as part of her recovery. She shared an X-ray image and revealed that everything was progressing well. “6 week post surgery check up today. Everything fusing nicely,” Niven wrote at the time.
