'I'm happy to be here' - Marshall Munetsi addresses his Wolves future The midfielder was asked about his Wolves future. Marshall Munetsi insists he is happy at Wolves and wants to help take the club back to the Premier League - despite offering a coy answer on his future. The midfielder has returned from a loan spell at Paris FC and has so far played a key part in pre-season under Cesar Peixoto, starting all three friendlies. Munetsi was asked directly if his future is at Wolves and he said he is happy at the club, but would not be drawn on details around the club’s final plans for the squad. He said: “At the moment, with the conversations I've had with the club and the management, they want to build a team and I think the priority for me is to make sure that I also help the team. “As long as they want me to be here, I'm happy to be here. “This is the main priority, but above all, what is most important right now is to make sure that the club gets back to the Premier League. “No matter who comes in, no matter who stays, that is the most important message that has come from the chairman, that the club has to go back. “We all contributed to be where we are today, so I think it's also up to us to make sure we rectify those mistakes.” When asked if he believes he is in the manager’s plans, Munetsi added: “For me, like you saw today, I came to play. “I think that message is supposed to come from the manager, you have to give that question to him.” Munetsi played 77 minutes in Saturday’s defeat to Real Sociedad, having been front and centre of Peixoto’s set-up in pre-season so far. The midfielder believes everything is coming into place, as the team prepare for the start of the Championship campaign. ”We've had three weeks now of hard work, with the new manager trying his way of playing,” he said. “I think it's very important for us to have a tougher pre-season that allows us to have a good start of the season. “It's been demanding, but I think everybody has been really focused on one goal, and that is putting back the club where it belongs. “If you see the game, the way we want to play, everyone really understands it. “It's going to be demanding physically, especially to play against a team like Real Sociedad that keeps the ball. “It also allows us to have a better idea of how we can be able to manage teams that keep the ball, but also to work on how we want to play. “We created a good couple of chances, and we managed to score. This is what we are trying to aim to improve.”
