John Cena mentioned both WWE President Nick Khan and AEW President Tony Khan while addressing an in-ring return. WWE legend John Cena retired from in-ring competition in December 2025. However, he hears “one more match” chants from fans wherever he goes. He heard it once again during his appearance at FanExpo Canada at the Metro Toronto Convention Center on Sunday. Responding to the chant, John Cena playfully noted that no Khan has the money to bring him back to the ring. He said, “I’m out, dog. I don’t know. No Khan has got the pocketbook. Nick, Tony, they ain’t got the money. I’m out.” John Cena explained his reasoning for choosing not to come out of retirement Cena then explained why he’d never return to the ring. “I’m going to take your chant and say that because a lot of you folks spent a whole lot of resources on my farewell tour. If I decide to selfishly come back for ego-driven reasons, basically that’s saying I’m lying to every one of y’all. When a fan said they don’t mind if he returns to the ring, John Cena said, “You might not mind, but there were people who paid a fortune to sit at that last match. And for me to be like, ‘Just kidding.’ I’ve met so many families that put so much effort into saving just to see those moments. For me, I’m out of it with my health. I feel good. I’ve got good clarity and good closure. He remains with WWE in an ambassador role. The John Cena Classic Tournament he announced back in May is reportedly planned for December 12. It’s the same date as the Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event, which will take place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. However, the promotion has yet to confirm it.
