AEW‘s Mercedes Moné paid tribute to her former WWE character Sasha Banks after All In: London. Mercedes Moné finally captured the AEW Women’s World Championship after defeating Willow Nightingale at All In: London last night. Following her victory, she made her DJ debut at the afterparty. The event hosted around 1000 fans and took place at the Crystal Club in Wembley. This was also with Sweet Chin Disco, one of Europe’s fastest-growing wrestling fan experiences. Moné ended her DJ session by playing “Sky’s the Limit Lyrics,” her theme song during her time in WWE as Sasha Banks. Mercedes Moné Confirms She Broke Her Nose and Needed Stitches After AEW All In Match After her big title win at AEW All In: London, Mercedes Moné joined Tony Khan and Renee Paquette in the post-show media scrum. The CEO confirmed that she broke her nose during the match and was even bleeding during the interview. “I haven’t even had time to process holding this (the title) because I was just so focused on taking Willow’s smile and ending her career. I finally get to look at this because straight after the match, I had to go to the doctors and get stitches for my nose that she broke,” Mercedes Moné said. After being asked when the injury happened, Mercedes Moné said, “Right in the f*****g beginning, did you not watch? Me and Willow have had it out for each other since the day we met. Today was just all of our emotions, all of our frustrations, all of our history was just right there in the ring, and we gave it our all to each other.
