The transfer window won’t be open for much longer. With today (Monday) being a Bank Holiday, I am expecting tomorrow (Tuesday) to be a hectic finale. I have no doubt that it, as far as Luton Town are concerned, may be a case of more players leaving than arriving but that has not stopped a new piece of speculation emerging when it comes to a possible arrival. The player in question being the Wigan Athletic defender, Morgan Fox. Fox, a 32-year-old centre back, is seen as a replacement for the, probably, departing Teden Mengi. Born in Chelmsford, Essex, the 6 feet 1 inch defender has worn the shirts of various clubs during his career includinng: - Charlton Athletic - Notts County (loan) - Sheffield Wednesday - Stoke City - Queens Park Rangers - Wigan Athletic On the international stage Morgan, despite being born in England, has played at Wales U21 level, he has been selected for the senior squad but has yet to make his debut. At 32-years-of-age, if his acquisition is confirmed, it would appear that the club are looking for his experience to plug the gaps in our defence, although some might suggest, and quite rightly, we need to look at the full back positions and the addition of a defensive midfielder. However, I need to point out that another club is linked with signing the player, our rivals from up the MI, MK Dons. But, if push comes to shove, surely a move to Luton Town would be his preference.
