Vikings set 53-man roster for upcoming season With the preseason in the rearview mirror and the regular season just weeks away, the Vikings have finalized their initial 53-man roster. There was much speculation about whether J.J. McCarthy would make the cut after a shaky training camp and preseason, but he was included on the roster, meaning that four quarterbacks are currently on the squad. Some surprising cuts included RB Zavier Scott, P Johnny Hekker, DL Isaiahh Loudermilk and S Tavierre Thomas. See the full roster below. Quarterbacks: Kyler Murray, J.J. McCarthy, Carson Wentz, Max Brosmer Running backs: Aaron Jones Sr., Jordan Mason, Demond Claiborne Fullback: Max Bredeson Wide receivers: Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Jauan Jennings, Tai Felton, Myles Price, Dillon Bell Tight ends: T.J. Hockenson, Josh Oliver, Ben Yurosek, Gavin Bartholomew Offensive line: Christian Darrisaw, Donovan Jackson, Blake Brandel, Will Fries, Brian O’Neill, Ryan Van Demark, Caleb Tiernan, Joe Huber Defensive line: Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, Jalen Redmond, Levi Drake Rodriguez, Caleb Banks, Dominique Orange, Elijah Williams Linebackers: Dallas Turner, Andrew Van Ginkel, Bo Richter, Chaz Chambliss, Blake Cashman, Eric Wilson, Jake Golday, Ivan Pace Jr. Cornerbacks: Byron Murphy Jr., Isaiah Rodgers, Chuck Demmings, James Pierre, Zemaiah Vaughn Safeties: Josh Metellus, Jay Ward, Theo Jackson, Jakobe Thomas, Jacob Thomas Specialists: Andrew DePaola (Long snapper), Will Reichard (Kicker), Brett Thorson (Punter) The team also placed C Michael Jurgens and OLB Tyler Batty on the Reserve/Injured List, with Batty’s injury being season-ending. WR Jeshaun Jones has also been placed on the Reserve/Suspended List and will miss the first three games of the season.
