In the wake of an incident last week in which a man was said to have allegedly faked an NFL career, another athlete is under the microscope for alleged faking a career that includes a purported stint with the Dallas Cowboys. According to multiple reports, Uras Agee IV, who is listed on the 2017 roster for Division II Shorter University in Rome, Georgia, has allegedly been presenting himself as an NFL player through multiple now-deleted social media accounts. Agee allegedly claimed he played in the NFL for the Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers, and he allegedly referred to himself in social media profiles as a Super Bowl LV champion (the Super Bowl in 2021 in which Tampa defeated the Kansas City Chiefs). It's unclear how much, if any, money came from the purported endeavor, though a website allegedly allows customers to pay $600 for a brand ambassador deal or $3,000 for an appearance fee. Agee was photographed in 2023 signing footballs for a donation drive at Ryze Wellness & MedSpa in Tampa. He wore a Dallas Cowboys T-shirt in the photo. He was also thanked in a 2022 tweet by a youth football coach in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in which the coach said he appreciated Agee sharing "his story and words of wisdom." I’m sick bro. Federal authorities arrested Daejon Love in Boise last week, charging the 35-year-old with wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. The U.S. Attorney's Office alleges Love engaged in a scheme in which he would present himself as a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, then create fake investments to defraud potential romantic partners he met in California. Advertisement Article continues below this ad "Love convinced many of the victims they were in sincere romantic relationships with Love, that he was a sophisticated investor, and that [co-conspirator Taylor Jamie] Chan was his investment adviser who helped Love grow a fortune worth tens of millions of dollars," the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a statement. "Love had romantic relationships with many of the victims and told them he wanted to build wealth and a future together. Love advertised nonexistent investment vehicles and claimed these investments would generate massive returns for both him and his victims."
