Bruno Fernandes talked about a big win for Manchester United against Ipswich Town.
The Red Devils were shellshocked by a 2-0 loss to newly promoted Hull City last week, so they needed to get back on track with three points against another promoted outfit at Old Trafford.
‘It was a huge week’
So, when Leif Davis daggered home the first goal of the game, fans could have feared the worst.
Fortunately, the newly crowned PFA Players’ Player of the Year was red hot in the final third. He scored three times and topped off his afternoon with an assist for Bryan Mbeumo in a 5-2 victory.
"We were in control of the game and then conceded the goal, lost a bit of control after that but then got back into the game, scored just before half time and in the second half we were brilliant. We need to be hungry to score more goals.
"It is a great accolade for myself but it is together with the team because I couldn't do any of that without them helping me. It was a huge week and to end with a win at home today was massive.
‘We were in control’
"Scoring before half-time is always important if it's to get on top of the game or draw the game. We were in control of the game. In the second half, we were very good.
"Scoring goals is the best feeling in football. Doing a half-time at home with our fans is something I'm proud of. I hope I can do much more and help my team-mate score goals too.
‘I hate losing’
"We have to do it in both ways, when we lose, we can't get carried away with the negative things. I hate losing and it is difficult to be positive when you lose games because at this club you want to be on top of everything and win games. It is very difficult for me to control the emotions."
