Miquel Gelabert secures fifth place overall, after achieving a sixth and a third place in TrialGP. Honda Montesa returned to action on Sunday in Cahors, France, for the fifth round of the 2026 TrialGP season. The French event marked the start of the second half of the season and provided a new setting for the RTL Electric bike, which faced a course characterised by a combination of natural and indoor-style sections. Miquel Gelabert arrived fifth in the overall standings with 185 points -and aimed to get back into contention for a podium finish. The day began with Race 1, in which Gelabert started with a positive feeling, accumulating only one penalty point in the first section and completing several parts of the course cleanly. The RTL Electric rider fought hard to stay in the Top 4, but mistakes in the last three sections meant he finished the first race with 26 penalty points in sixth place. Next up was the 'Super Pole', where Gelabert set a time of 0:25.19, which meant he would be the fourth rider to face 'Race 2'. In 'Race 2', he put in a great performance, fighting for a Top 3 finish and conceding 19 penalty points. Clearing several sections gave him a boost of confidence for the final stage, until a mistake on section 10. He managed to finish in third place. After the two results achieved in Cahors, the Honda Montesa rider finished the only day of competition in fourth position. In the overall standings for the season, he has accumulated a total of 210 points and maintains fifth position. The next race will take place on September 5th and 6th, in Zelhem, the Netherlands.
