On Saturday night, the Timberwolves officially waived Konchar after the trade was finalized. “The Timberwolves announce that they have just waived John Konchar,” NBA insider Brett Siegel wrote. Konchar will be a good veteran for whichever team he joins next; Minnesota simply did not have room for him. With him officially being waived, the signing of Kuminga should be finalized very soon. Konchar has made $21 million during his seven-year career. The Timberwolves will now pursue an NBA Finals run, while Konchar will likely look to join another championship contender.
