Tony Mowbray wants to see more cutting edge from his Blackburn side after his return to the club began with a comeback 2-1 win at League One Burton in the Carabao Cup. Both Gudjohnsen and Fevrier netted inside the last 10 minutes to spare Rovers’ blushes and Mowbray was happy for his new signing to get off the mark. “We ended up finding a way and I am pleased for Fevrier, he has come in from Stockport and it’s important that the supporters know that I asked for someone to come in with a bit of magic in their boots and who can score a goal out of nothing,” Mowbray added. Burton head coach Gary Bowyer was proud of his team in defeat, with a lack of experienced bench options probably costing his side progress in the competition. “Our lads were magnificent.” the former Blackburn boss began. “The lads that played and those who came on ran themselves into the ground. We have run another Championship side very close. “They have been able to bring experience from the bench which has won them the game and we just didn’t have that option today.”
