Rennes are on the verge of signing former England U21 international centre-back Charlie Cresswell (23), according to Ouest-France. The Bretons have eventually reached an agreement with Toulouse FC to sign the defender, who was also of interest for Crystal Palace. Rennes and Toulouse reportedly reached a compromise close to the €25m mark. Rennes already secured an agreement on personal terms with Cresswell. Rennes were in the market for a young but experienced centre-back after parting ways with Academy graduate Jérémy Jacquet.
