Telford Tigers are delighted to welcome Canadian forward Bryce Irwin to Tigers 2 ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 25-year-old joins the club from Ratinger Ice Aliens, where he enjoyed an impressive campaign in Germany’s fourth tier. Irwin recorded 19 goals and 17 assists for 36 points in 18 regular-season appearances, before adding a further 12 points in 11 playoff games.
Born in Victoria, British Columbia, Irwin developed his game with the Victoria Cougars before moving into the American university system. He spent four seasons representing Castleton University, recording 15 goals and 39 assists across 65 NCAA Division III appearances.
The forward will now make the move to Britain as he looks to continue his development and prove himself within the British game.
Tigers 2 Player-Coach Jason Silverthorn commented:
“Bryce joins us from Victoria, British Columbia, following a season in Germany’s fourth tier where he put up some very good numbers.
Having watched Bryce, I like the fact that he gets into the dirty areas, makes plays at the front of the net and drives inside the dots. He creates scoring opportunities not only for himself, but for his teammates as well.
“I’ve spoken to Bryce on several occasions and he’s a young man who has just completed four years at university in the United States. He’s coming to Britain determined to prove himself and earn the opportunity to move up through the levels.
His attitude and ability to coach really excite me. That’s what we’re here to do – help our players develop, improve and give themselves the best opportunity to reach the next level. I’m looking forward to working with him this season.”
The club is delighted to welcome Bryce to Telford and looks forward to seeing him in action during the 2026/27 campaign.
