Johnson did miss practice this week, but he recently came back to join the team. The Eagles probably felt his absence, and they'll definitely feel it when he decides to hang up the jersey. Johnson is one of the league's best at his position, and it's hard to find players who can protect the quarterback at such a high level. It was a rough 2025 season for Johnson as he dealt with an injury, and it was rumored that he'd actually consider retirement afterwards. It looks like he saw the changes the Eagles were planning to make on offense, hiring Sean Mannion as the new coordinator, and wanted to come back for another season. At the same time, Johnson probably felt like he still had a lot left in the tank, which is no surprise. The Eagles' offense could look a little different this season, and the team has already spoken highly of Mannion and his schemes.
